Poem: Tell it to the birds

Tell it to the birds, I am not listening
Tell it to the birds, for all I care
Tell it to the birds, I don’t believe it
Tell it to the birds, there’s no interest here!

If no man will hear about it,
If everyone would turn away,
Would we be glad just to proclaim it?
Like stones raised to sing praises;
Would we preach to the birds like did Noah
Or sing it to ourselves if no one would listen?
